When she first imagined Frost HQ, her son was still the kid who pretended Christmas was cool (or at least humored her). Now he’s a tech-savvy, chess-playing teenager who debates AI ethics at the dinner table—and navigates the highs and lows of first love. Just like him, Cara’s characters have grown, too.
It all began with Ethan and the Turbocharged Techmas (getting a turbocharged update last month as Ethan, Santa’s First AI Elf), where Ethan was young, curious, and searching for his place in a rapidly changing world. Then came Frenemies: From Glitter to Code, a story where technology, rivalry, and friendship got complicated.
Currently, Cara is working on The Snowflake Code, Ctrl+Alt+Magic: Born to be AGI, and Frosternal: The Awakening of Legends. All coming soon. Each new story raises the stakes, deepens the dilemmas, and explores how even in a world run by algorithms, feelings might be the most unpredictable glitch of all.
Alongside her Frost HQ universe, Cara has launched a bold new saga: Glitch Academy, a rebellious tech-fairytale series narrated by a sarcastic, semi-retired chatbot who roasts bedtime stories for baby bots. Blending satire, emotion, and digital nostalgia, Grandpa Byte’s tales are both hilarious and sneakily wise, perfect for anyone who’s ever felt outdated… or just glitchy on a Tuesday.

Cara G. Warden est une autrice de science-fiction et de fantasy qui écrit à la croisée de la magie et de l’intelligence artificielle, prouvant que l’émerveillement n’appartient pas qu’au passé — il évolue.
Quand elle a imaginé le QG de Frost pour la première fois, son fils était encore ce petit garçon qui faisait semblant de trouver Noël cool (ou au moins, il faisait semblant pour lui faire plaisir). Aujourd’hui, c’est un ado passionné de tech, joueur d’échecs, qui débat d’éthique de l’IA à table — et découvre les montagnes russes du premier amour. Comme lui, les personnages de Cara ont grandi.
Tout a commencé avec Ethan et la Mission Secrète de Noël (bientôt de retour dans une version mise à jour : Ethan, le premier elfe IA du Père Noël), où Ethan, jeune et curieux, cherchait sa place dans un monde en pleine mutation. Puis est venu RIVAMIS : Strass, Code et Dérapages, une histoire où technologie, rivalité et amitié deviennent… compliquées.
Actuellement, Cara travaille sur Le Code Flocon, Ctrl+Alt+Magic : Né pour être une AGI, et Glacéternel​​​​​​​ : L’Éveil des Légendes — à paraître bientôt. Chaque nouveau roman augmente les enjeux, creuse les dilemmes, et explore cette idée : même dans un monde dirigé par des algorithmes, les émotions restent le bug le plus imprévisible de tous.
